Dir’Actors Studio is a dynamic and evolving theatre collective from India, founded in 2016 by Ajay Khatri and co-founder Ashlesha Parshuram, both of whom have been deeply engaged in the practice of art since 2005.
Rooted in a passion for performance and storytelling, Dir’Actors is more than just a group—it is a creative confluence of directors and actors, true to its name. The studio brings together a vibrant ensemble of theatre artists, drama teachers, trainers, practitioners and actors, many of whom are alumni of the prestigious National School of Drama, New Delhi.
With a strong foundation in both pedagogy and performance, each member of the collective carries rich experience working with children, students, and adults, making the group equally comfortable in educational as well as professional creative spaces.
At its core, Dir’Actors believes in contemporary expression and artistic exploration. The collective thrives on collaboration, constantly engaging with artists and professionals from diverse disciplines—directors, designers, musicians, painters, dancers, photographers, animators and film makers—bringing together varied perspectives into a unified creative language.

Over the years, the group has actively collaborated with numerous schools, universities, colleges, theatre groups, and NGOs, creating spaces where art is not only performed but also experienced, questioned, and evolved.
